What is a Wellness Practitioner?

I consider myself a Wellness Practitioner. I consider Wellness a holistic practice of how we take care of ourselves. How do we take care of our physical body, our exercise, nutrition, and our sleep? How do we take care of our intellectual self, continuously challenging and growing our brain? How to we tend to our emotional self, what tools to you use to manage your emotions? How are you tending to your social needs, spending time with friends and family to nurture those connections? How are you attending to your connection to your spiritual self, your higher power? I think checking in with each piece of your PIESS (Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Social & Spiritual) regularly helps create a sense of awareness. When we’re aware of how we’re doing, where the gaps are, it’s helps us know when things are out of alignment and what we need to do.

As a Wellness Practitioner, I’m looking at the holistic picture of supporting you, whether through moving your body, talking about your feelings, or some combination of the two.
